Dray, Logistics & Event Support at Orbit Beers

Closing Date:

The Role:

We’re looking for a practical, reliable, and hardworking Dray, Logistics, and Events Support to join the team at Orbit Beers.

This is a hands-on role that sits between the brew team, the sales & marketing team, our customers, and the roads of London. Driving and deliveries will make up the majority of the role, alongside a range of operational tasks around the brewery, warehouse, and taproom.

You’ll be responsible for getting beer to customers, keeping things organised, and helping the wider brewery team wherever you’re needed. No two days are likely to be exactly the same.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in doing things properly, and is happy to get stuck into whatever needs doing.

Key Responsibilities:

Dray & Deliveries:

• Delivering beer to pubs, restaurants, bottle shops, wholesalers and other customers across London and the surrounding area.
• Picking and preparing trade orders for direct delivery and collection from site by third parties.
• Loading and unloading beer safely and efficiently.
• Planning and following delivery routes to ensure orders arrive on time.
• Building good relationships with our customers and representing Orbit Beers professionally while out on the road.
• Collecting empty kegs, equipment and other items where required.
• Checking orders against delivery notes and ensuring the correct beer reaches the correct customer.
• Reporting any delivery issues, discrepancies, or damaged stock promptly.

Brewery Operations & Logistics:

• Warehousing stock according to FiFo system
• Helping to keep the brewery and warehouse tidy and organised.
• Unloading deliveries from suppliers.
• Picking and preparing orders for the webshop.
• Support across operations, brewery, sales, and events where needed.

General:

• Being a reliable and positive member of the brewery team.
• Working safely and following brewery procedures.
• Taking responsibility for completing jobs properly and on time.
• Being flexible and willing to help across different areas of the business as priorities change.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:

• An experienced London driver who is confident navigating the city and dealing with busy roads, tight streets and parking restrictions.
• Comfortable driving a van for extended periods and making multiple deliveries in a day.
• Forklift licence a plus.
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting, including moving kegs and cases of beer.
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• Practical and willing to get stuck in.
• Friendly and professional when dealing with customers.
• Calm under pressure and able to deal with unexpected problems.
• Someone who takes pride in keeping things organised and getting the job done properly.
• Ideally experienced in a brewery, drinks, logistics, hospitality or similar environment, although this isn't essential.

This is not a desk-based operations role. You’ll spend a significant amount of your time on the road, loading and unloading beer and working hands-on around the brewery.

You need to be comfortable with the physical side of the job. Kegs weigh up to 60kg, deliveries can be demanding, and some days will involve a lot of lifting and carrying.

You also need to be confident driving in London. Experience delivering to pubs, restaurants, or other trade customers would be a big plus.
