40FT Brewery Celebrates Victory at the SIBA South East Independent Beer Awards 2023
In a remarkable showcase of brewing excellence, the London Brewers Alliance is delighted to celebrate the triumphs of its members at the SIBA South East Independent Beer Awards 2023. Leading the charge is 40FT Brewery from Dalston, whose ‘Neighbourhood IPA’ not only dominated the IPA category but also clinched the Overall Gold in a testament to its outstanding craft.
The competition, held at the Big Penny Social in Walthamstow, welcomed a host of industry experts who savoured a variety of exceptional cask beers. Windsor & Eton Brewery also claimed the spotlight with their ‘Father Thames’, securing the Overall Silver, followed by an impressive array of awards across multiple categories, showcasing the versatility and skill of LBA members.

40FT Brewery: Alongside a CLASS Gold in the Cask IPA category for 'Neighbourhood IPA', they also went on to secure overall Champion of the Cask Beer Competition.

Windsor & Eton Brewery: Their ‘Father Thames’ not only took Overall Silver but also a Gold in the Cask British Best Bitter category, exhibiting their mastery in creating traditional and beloved beer styles.

The Five Points Brewing Co: was recognised with a Gold for ‘Railway Porter’ in the Cask British Dark Beers category, alongside a Bronze for 'Five Points XPA' in the Cask Session Pale Ale category.

Sambrook’s Brewery: The London brewing stalwart’s ‘Powerhouse Porter’ took Silver in the Cask British Dark Beers category.

Wild Card Brewery: Their 'Cask Pale' earned a Bronze in the Cask Session Pale Ale category.

Hammerton Brewery: ‘City Of Cake’ claimed a Gold in the Cask Speciality Amber to Dark Beer category.
