LBA’s January Meeting at 40FT Brewery Brings Industry Leaders Together

The London Brewers Alliance’s first meeting of 2025, held at 40FT Brewery in Dalston Kingsland on 27th January, was an outstanding success, with the event once again sold out. The evening began with a highly anticipated technical session hosted by Hopsteiner, focusing on Hop Breeding Developments & Sustainability. This insightful presentation explored the critical topic of sustainability within the hop industry, diving into how hop breeding innovations are helping to deliver both new flavours and supply security. The discussion also covered current trends in the hop market, the development of hop products, and what the future holds for UK hop growing.

Following the technical talk, the main event kicked off, offering attendees the chance to sample the fantastic range of beers from 40FT Brewery, who were generous hosts for the evening. The event provided ample opportunities to expand networks, connect with industry peers, and welcome the LBA’s newest members. Attendees also enjoyed a light bite to fuel the evening, thanks to ACME Fire Cult, and, of course, celebrated the beginning of a new year for the London brewing community.

During the main meeting we welcomed new members, and received a fascinating talk from SIBA's Chief Executive, Andy Slee, on the importance and benefits of SIBA's new Indie Beer campaign.
