Exale Brewing open new neighbourhood pub in Bethnal Green
Exale Brewing are excited to announce their new neighbourhood pub, the Three Colts Tavern, has now opened in Bethnal Green. "The heart & soul of a traditional boozer in a modern setting, sitting on the site of the ancient Three Colts"
After the success of their hugely popular taproom in Walthamstow on the Blackhorse beer mile, Exale Brewing are incredibly excited to open a neighbourhood pub in Bethnal Green, East London. The first stage of their expansion plan in which they hope to open a new site every year, for the next 5 years.
The Three Colts Tavern (199 Cambridge Heath Road) has now opened under the watchful eye of Exale’s Andy Solley who has operated and overseen East End institutions The Cat & Mutton and The Morgan Arms. Located minutes from Bethnal Green tube and Bethnal Green Overground station, they’ll be joining an esteemed group of independent businesses that they love such as Coupette, Sager & Wilde, The Kings arms, The Sun Tavern, Backyard Comedy Club,The Bethnal Green Tavern, Mother Kellys and many more.
The new site with plenty of natural lighting, exposed concrete and mid-century carpentry is a unique and gorgeous open space with lots of outside seating. With 14 lines of carefully conditioned keg & cask plus cocktails and natural wines paired with a friendly team, pizza and shuffleboard. They plan to combine elements of the traditional east-end boozer in a modern, laid-back setting. Housed on the former site of the Three Colts pub which was sadly demolished in 1902, Exale love proper pubs and they hope to bring back a small glimmer of what once was to this corner of Bethnal Green.
The kitchen will be operated by one of London’s most exciting, up and coming food operators (watch this space for announcements)
They’ll be hosting weekly DJs, Quiz nights, tap takeovers, live music and more. The aim is to create a welcoming, inclusive space with a focus on great indie beers and cask, serving up their award winning beers such as Zorc Golden Dortmunder lager, Skoosh Session IPA, Krankie iron brew sour plus stouts, saisons and table beers as well as lots of guest beers and alcohol free offerings from their friends around the UK & beyond.
