Mondo Brewing Celebrates 10 Years with New Look and Fresh Energy

LBA member Mondo Brewing Company has marked its 10th anniversary with a bold brand refresh and a strong message: they’re still here, proudly independent, and ready for the next chapter.

Founded in 2015, Mondo quickly built a loyal following with its commitment to creativity, quality, and community. But like many small breweries, the road hasn’t been easy. From the impact of COVID-19 to rising production costs and the ongoing pressure from larger multinationals, Mondo has had to fight to stay afloat.

Thanks to the resilience of its team and support from the wider community—alongside renewed backing from industry veteran Rupert Thompson - Mondo has emerged from a difficult few years with a new identity and a leaner, stronger operation.

The last four years have been pretty brutal for small independent brewers, but it’s wonderful to see a story of survival and revival in Mondo. They restructured and refinanced and are now operating a much leaner, more sustainable business.

A New Look for the Core Range

As part of the relaunch, Mondo’s core beers have been reimagined with new artwork and fresh branding, courtesy of creative agency CookChick and long-time collaborator Luke Drozd. The updated line-up includes:

  • Dennis Hopp’r IPA (flagship)

  • Texas Whistle (a new addition)

  • Road Soda (New England Pale)

  • Little Victories (Session IPA)

  • Hiker (Helles lager, formerly Machina)

The new ‘M’ logo is designed as a bold symbol of Mondo’s creative spirit and a window into each beer’s unique story. The label artwork, crafted through Drozd’s signature collage style, brings a tactile, timeless character to the range that reflects both the brewery’s roots and future ambitions.

This is more than a new look,” said Todd Matteson, Mondo Co-Founder and Managing Director.

“It’s a celebration of 10 years of beer, creativity, and community… a declaration of intent: we’re here, we’re independent, and we’re excited for what comes next.

Industry Context and Independent Resilience

Mondo’s story of revival is all the more significant in the current climate. With small breweries continuing to face mounting pressure—from market consolidation to squeezed margins - stories like this are a reminder of what makes independent beer worth fighting for.

As Todd puts it, “The playing field isn’t level—but we’re proud to be part of a community that continues to fight for craft, quality, and independence.”

Where to Celebrate

To mark the rebrand, Mondo is rolling out their refreshed beers across a selection of venues around London, with an official launch party at the Crown and Anchor, SW11.

From Wednesday 4th June, participating venues across the city will be pouring the new-look beers, including:
